CLEAN GREEN WITH PURE ESSENTIAL OILS

Disinfecting and Uplifting Floor Cleaner

Combine the following in large container:
1-gallon bucket of warm water
A very small squeeze of liquid castile soap
10 drops of lemon essential oil
4 drops tea tree essential oil

Freshening Window Cleaner

Combine the following in a 22-32 oz. spray bottle:
Water (fill the container almost all the way)
4 tbsp. vinegar
15 - 20 drops lemon essential oil

Disinfecting Toilet Bowl Cleanser

Combine the following in a 22 oz. spray bottle:
Approximately 18 oz. of water
¼ cup liquid castile soap
20 drops of white thyme essential oil
(or for variety try lavender, tea tree or lemon oil

Cleansing Room Spray

Combine the following in a 4 oz. spray bottle:
4 oz. water
10 drops lemon essential oil
15 drops white thyme essential oil
10 drops of eucalyptus

Tub Scrub

Combine 1 cup of baking soda
2-3 drop of each Lemon and Tea Tree oil
Sprinkle this around your tub and
use a wet sponge to clean and disinfect.

Homemade Soft Scrubber
1/2 cup baking soda
Liquid Castile Soap
5 drops Lavender essential oil and/or 5 drops Tea Tree essential oil

Place the baking soda in a bowl. Slowly pour in liquid soap stirring constantly, add liquid soap until the consistency resembles frosting. Add the essential oil (oils) if desired. Scoop the creamy mixture onto a sponge, scrub the surface, and then rinse. If you add a little pure vegetable glycerin to the baking soda, the mixture will stay moist for a long time in a jar with a tight lid.

Remove Tarnish from Silver

Tired of having to polish the good silverware every time you pull it out? Then, ditch the polish, and try this simple hands-off remedy:

Place a piece of aluminum foil at the bottom of your kitchen sink, and fill the basin with water. Then, sprinkle in two tablespoons of table salt; and drop your silver pieces into the water. Allow your silver to soak for 2-3 minutes; then, remove and rinse. The tarnish will be gone!

Note: Badly tarnished silver may need to be soaked a second time.

Why This Works
When salt, aluminum foil and water are combined they create a chemical reaction known as ion exchange. During this process, the tarnish on the silver is transferred to the foil. In fact, if your silver is tarnished enough, you'll actually see brown tarnish on the aluminum foil.

Carpet Spot Remover and Carpet Cleaning Solution for Steam Machines
Carpet cleaners don't have to be expensive to work well. In fact, they don't even have to be bought in a store. Make up your own spot remover and steam cleaning solutions, and enjoy clean carpets for less.

Using only white vinegar, baking soda, water

Homemade Spot Remover
Mix white vinegar and baking soda together to form a paste. Then, work the paste into the carpet stain with an old toothbrush, or something similar. Allow the paste to dry; then vacuum up the baking soda, and the stain should be gone.

Note: Some stains may need to be treated more than once.

Homemade Cleaning Solution for Steam Cleaners
Fill the machine with equal parts white vinegar and warm water; then, clean according to the manufacturer's instructions.
